August 04, 1984, after opening Miniature Kingdom exhibit in Washington Township, N.J. was Arthur A.M. Thuijs suddenly ill and fell into a coma and died a few months later in Morristown Memorial Hospital (source 2010).
August 23, 1984, Original text of a handwritten letter from the widow Trudy Thuijs: “I have said all, Arthur A.M. Thuijs has no kids, and this stands for the future. The miniature buildings are now for me and nobody else! Everything is mine now !“.
